テズヒップ（彩飾）ワークショップ

テキストを装飾し、それを包み込むことが最も重要な特徴である彩飾芸術では、スタイライズされた動物、植物、雲のモチーフや図形が装飾要素として使用されます。趣味や学校の変化にもかかわらず、金と濃い青の調和がどの時代にも共通していることが知られています。

コーラン、祈祷書、その他の写本は、トルコの装飾芸術で重要な地位を占め、書道と切り離して考えられない彩飾技術が適用される写本の一部です。

彩飾の基本材料は金または絵の具です。金は薄い層に叩き延ばされ、ホイルとして使用されます。金箔は水中で砕いてゼラチンと一定の濃度に混ぜ、通常は黄土絵の具が選ばれます。現在では合成染料も使用されています。彩飾家はまず、描いたモチーフを紙に置き、硬いツゲの木や亜鉛を土台として使用し、針で線を点線状に刺します。その後、この点線状の紙を適用する表面に置き、粘着性のある黒い粉で穴を埋めます。点線状の紙を取り除くと、適用される表面にモチーフが現れます。このモチーフをはっきりと強調して金や絵の具で埋めることで、彩飾作品が作られます。
