奥斯曼土耳其书法与清真寺墙壁和天花板上的几何伊斯兰艺术以及书页紧密相关。伊斯兰世界的当代艺术家利用书法遗产，在他们的作品中使用书法铭文或抽象形式。

最早流行起来的是一种称为库法体的字体，这种字体带有棱角，由方形和短的水平笔画、长的垂直线以及粗壮紧凑的圆形组成。

迪瓦尼体是一种在早期奥斯曼帝国统治时期（16世纪和17世纪初）发展起来的草书风格的阿拉伯书法。这种字体由侯萨姆·鲁米发明，并在苏莱曼一世（伟大的苏丹）统治期间达到鼎盛时期。迪瓦尼体在装饰性和实用性上都很突出，其特点是字母线条的复杂性以及单词中字母之间的紧密排列。

传统的土耳其-奥斯曼书法工具是卡勒姆，一种用干芦苇或竹子制成的笔；墨水常常是彩色的，选择时其浓度可以变化很大，这使得作品中较大的笔画产生具有冲击力的动态效果。

This Ottoman Calligraphy Masterclass invites you into the spiritual and visual heritage of Islamic and Turkish art. Using the traditional kalem (reed pen) and hand-blended colored ink, you'll learn the visual language that shaped the Qur’an, architectural designs, and royal decrees. From the angular Kufic script to the elegant Diwani style, this workshop opens a door into centuries of history. Whether you're learning as a beginner or refining your artistic path, your instructor will guide you through the rhythm of strokes, spiritual meanings, and technical skills of this sacred art. As part of our curated Workshops category, this experience is a deep dive into beauty, discipline, and legacy.
